What Should I Expect During My Appointment for Extractions?
When you arrive at Mod Facial for your facial with extra Extractions, you’ll have a brief consult and skin assessment with one of our skincare professionals. The process then starts with a thorough cleansing of the skin to remove any makeup or residue, followed by steaming to open up the pores and soften the skin.
Once prepped, your esthetician will apply gentle pressure or use a specialized tool to extract impurities. The sensation can be a bit uncomfortable for some, but it’s typically quick and relatively painless.
Post Extraction, a soothing mask will be applied to calm your skin and reduce any redness before applying moisturizer and sunscreen. Some redness is normal after the procedure, but it should subside in a few hours.
